The Requirement for the garage base is 150mm compacted hardcore. Damp Proof Membrane. 100mm Concrete, and a single course of semi engineering bricks.

Warwick Buildings will issue a plan once for you to pass onto the builder once the order has been placed. This indicates the brick course and denotes where the doors and windows are sited. The concrete will need to be 50mm larger than the brick course all round - see picture.

Semi engineering bricks with holes are required for the brick course.

Should you have an existing base without a membrane, we would be happy to accept this as a sufficient base.
